Welding Inspection By AWS Certified Inspectors

Quality is the highest priority for us. This is demonstrated by having American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Weld Inspectors (CWI) on staff. The benefits of doing so include the following: the ability to conduct in‐process inspections both during welding cycles and at critical control points; and the opportunity to document findings throughout the process.

We can provide documentation at any point during the process to validate that the product is being manufactured to the drawings and specifications provided.

Precision CNC Shape Cutting

All manufacturing projects start with design. Our dedicated project managers will review your supplied drawings and define a statement of work. Alternatively, take advantage of C4 Weldings in-house design programmers that will process your initial concepts and drawings. Our team will provide three-dimensional models of simple or complex parts, such as screw threads or multiple sided flat surfaces using the latest computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Approved technical drawings are interpreted by modern CNC machining systems used for shaping parts. Using best-in-class CNC lathes by SNK, machine operators are well equipped to finish products to exact specifications.

About C4 Welding, Inc

C4’s original owner focused his business activities on providing high‐precision “critical” welding services. The portfolio of former and current customer projects is a roster of leading companies across many industries.

Over the years, C4 has consistently added more and more depth to our solutions, including large and small part machining services, manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, assembly, OEM manufacturing, and fabrication services. After the purchase of the Company from the original owner in 2013, C4 has accelerated the range of in-house manufacturing and engineering capabilities with the purchase of a 5 axis bridge mill, 2 vertical machining centers, manual lathes, the installation of a paint booth and more, we can handle your project in house from start to finish.

C4 understands the urgency of projects, especially those with short time-lines. If you reach out to us with questions, know that we value your interest and will respond as quickly as possible.

Large Part Machining

Increased customer demand for larger and larger welded and machined structures led C4 to bring world-class large part precision machining capabilities to our shop floor with the installation of a SNK RB6M Double Column Multi-Center.

SNK has manufactured Double Column Machining Centers for over 50 years, with over 5,000 units installed world-wide. RB-M Series Machining Centers deliver productive 5-face, single set-up machining. The rigid double column design and construction assures peak precision and excellent work envelope access. This machine has both an automatic tool changer and right-angle attachment changer. In addition to X,Y & Z axes, a CNC-controlled 4th axis (W) expands machining capability and provides exceptional rigidity for rigorous cutting conditions. The generous quill stroke (Z) allows exceptional access to cavities simplifying deep hole cutting.

The addition of this machine allows C4 to service our customer’s needs better with shorter lead times, increased project control, and fewer associated logistics challenges. C4 has acquired highly-experienced large part programmers/machinists dedicated to supporting this new mill.

Small Part Machining

It all has to fit. CNC small part machining requires precision and accuracy. C4 Welding has the proven experience and expertise to move your small parts from design and into production. The machine shop is complete with vertical and horizontal turning machines, CNC tool room mills and lathes. Most importantly, our team of experienced programmers machinists makes C4 one of the top contract manufacturing companies in Minnesota.

Inside The Machine Shop

We have a well‐equipped fabrication and machining shop able to handle part production for a wide variety of pre‐ and post‐welding processes.
